Spring in Iceland

07.03.18 - 12.03.18

About the tour

Iceland wakes up slowly in the spring, but never lose its eternal beauty. The waterfalls begin to fall in full force, the rainbow appears more often, the first flocks of seabirds fly to the island, and it feels like time amazingly hangs somewhere on the slope of Esja Mount. So the season of picturesque Icelandic travel begins.

And we are pleased to invite you to meet the spring holidays on the Edge of the world! Go!

Day 1 – welcome to Iceland.

Upon arrival, we meet at the hotel and go to study the capital of the island. The beauty of Reykjavik will surprise you with its contrasts: residential buildings of the 16th century are surprisingly combined with a futuristic suburb, where we can find one of the best restaurants and bars. We will walk in the center to see picturesque panoramas from the height of the Hallgrímskirkja chirch, admire Harpa concert hall and see a laconic embankment with its sculptures and the "Sun Voyager". In addition, we will visit the park area, which fully reflects the atmosphere of the city. There is a crystal clear Tjernin lake with many sea birds and alleys, inside of which works of modern art combined with ancient monuments are collected. We will devote an evening to Icelandic cuisine, gathering together in one of the best restaurants in the city. This night we will spend in Reykjavik.

Day 2 – Iceland’s natural beauty.

This day will be truly beautiful. And so delicious! In the morning we will go for a food walk with local guide and we will try everything. From an incredibly tender mutton, grown and cooked strictly according to Icelandic traditions, to Hákarl, a very specific snack of the shark. Viking cuisine, of course, is not very special, but you should try it just once in your life! After all, even if the bread is baked on ... a geyser! The second half of the day promises to be very bright: we are heading for the Blue Lagoon. This unique geothermal resort is considered one of the best in the world due to the rich composition of mineral waters and the incredible color of water that you will not find anywhere else on Earth. Landscapes here are cosmic! We promise that this day you will remember for the rest of your life! In the evening we will return to Reykjavik.

Day 3 – the Golden circle of Iceland.

Today is a great time to go on a trip for the best routes of the island, which the Icelanders call the Golden circle. And it is for a reason, because here we can walk along the valley of active geysers, which produce streams of hot water up to a height of 30 meters; see the miracle of nature, the split of tectonic plates in the  Thingvellir National Park (the first rift valley on Earth can be seen only in Africa) and find out why this place is a real Viking shrine. In addition, we will admire Güllfoss – one of the largest and most visited waterfalls in Iceland. If you will see it just once, you will never forget it!

Day 4 – the southern coast of Iceland.

Today's day is dedicated to the romantic south and its endless lava beaches with basalt rocks. These mystical landscape is amazing. But before we’ll see it, we will get acquainted with the highlights of the country, two unusual waterfalls, Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Despite their greatness, they can be approached closely. And Seljalandsfoss generally is a waterfall with a secret – Incredible experience! The main thing is not to forget the raincoat. Inspired, we finally get to Reynisfjara, the Atlantic coast, where we will take a walk at the ocean. The black beaches of Iceland are "must see", because they are considered the most beautiful in the world! In the evening we will stop at a hotel near the picturesque Vik village.

Day 5 – the magic of the glacial lagoon.

Since the morning we are waiting for a way to a place where we can observe the drifting icebergs of all shades of blue. The famous Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon has already become a cult place for travelers from all over the world! The water of the lagoon here pushes the shards of ice to the shore and they twinkle beautifully under the sunny sky. But even if we are not lucky with the weather, there is no reason to be worried, the color of the icebergs remains just as stunning! In addition, today we will come very close to the largest glacier in Europe! Vatnajökull means "water giving" with its crystal water that fills the rivers and lagoons of the island. Scientists say that the glacier is rapidly melting, that is why we are very lucky to see it in our time! In the evening we will return to the hotel and during the farewell dinner we will remember all the brightest events of our trip.

Day 6 – Iceland, see you soon!

Today we will return from Vik to Reykjavik from where each of us will go home, in a familiar setting. But it's impossible to say forever goodbye to Iceland. This edge of the earth always remains in our heart!
